By the way, do look into Nicole Kidman's own history and who her famous father was--"satanist" / pedophile, influential politically connected fellow---for a long dive into MKUltra and darker stuff. She did not appear out of nowhere... But in any case, Kubrick cast both his leads for a reason (of course Cruise's Scientology also prepared him for his part) and it's interesting they were a real couple too--quite a few rabbit holes there as well!
